A valid EU pet passport (or Animal Health Certificate), a microchip, up-to-date rabies vaccination, and — for dogs — tapeworm treatment given 24 to 120 hours before entry.
We typically use the Eurotunnel for pet travel, as it allows pets to remain safely in the vehicle throughout the crossing.
We recommend booking at least 24–48 hours ahead so we have time to verify your pet’s paperwork before travel.
It’s possible in some cases, but standard Eurotunnel bookings need at least 2 hours’ notice — a FlexiPlus ticket (around £398 including 1 pet) allows more flexibility.
